Caregiver Training
Our goal is to provide an extensive caregiver training program that will provide you with the job-ready skills needed to be a confident caregiver. These skills can open the door to a career in one of the fastest growing industries and best job markets in the nation: Senior Care The experience you gain as a Caregiver can also prepare you for future opportunities such as being a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Whatever your goals may be, the skills and knowledge that you will learn from our course will put you on the fast-track to the career of your choice. Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion, demonstrating your proficiency in quality, compassionate
caregiving.

* Hands on Training
* Safe wheelchair use
* Cultural competency
* Medication reminder
* Caring for the elderly
* Transferring the client
* Tub baths and showers
* Elder abuse and neglect
* Fire safety and home safty
* Meal planning and cooking
* Active range of motion exercises
* Alzheimer's, diabetes, Parkinson's
* Personal care (grooming, hygiene, etc)
* Universal precaution, infection control
* Moving and positioning someone in bed
* Rides to doctor appointments and errands
* Infection control and blood borne pathogens
* How to recognize and prevent pressure ulcer
* Roles and responsibilities of a personal care attendant
* Proper body mechanics for the caregiver and care recipient
* Specific diseases, including: early to mid and mid to late stage
* Alzheimer s disease, Diabetes, Depression, Sundowner Syndrome, Parkinson's.
