____________________________________________________________________________ Job Title: Electrical Engineer/Designer Location: Rancho Santa Margarita, California Industry: Commercial and Industrial Pay Rate: $70k - $90k DEO Description of Positions: A supervisory position now open for experienced electrical engineer or designer with at least eight years of specific electrical experience in engineering, design and drafting of building facilities, including power distribution, lighting, communications, data and signal systems for commercial, retail, institutional, medical, and hospitality facilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in highly collaborative teams are considered important skills. Job Description: Responsible for the preparation of electrical design drawings and specifications for new construction, existing facilities expansion, and renovation projects. Projects will be of moderate to high complexity. Responsible for the application of engineering fundamentals to the design of electrical systems. Responsible for the supervision of designers and drafters. Responsible for financial success of projects based upon company’s standard fee structures. Specific Engineer Job Description: 1. Obtains architectural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical data from documents, occupant interviews, and field measurements. 2. Communicates with internal staff, clients, and other consultants/disciplines. 3. Coordinates and oversees preparation of floor plans, site plans, and other drawings for complex structures. 4. Compiles specifications and contract documents. 5. Performs field review of existing facilities to determine and verify relevant services and site layout, and to coordinate construction with plans and specifications. 6. Prepares power plans, lighting plans, site electrical plans, single line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, fixture schedules, conduit schedules, and other electrical plans, details, sizing and layout, and selection of components for systems. 7. Prepares of cost estimates and in coordination of construction and renovation projects. 8. Mentors/trains less experienced staff. 9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 10. Works hours necessary for completion of assigned tasks. Required Skills for Engineer: 1. Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience. 2. Proven ability to perform the duties specified with prior project experience at an equivalent level of responsibility. 3. Ability to design, coordinate and manage projects. 4. Ability to collect field data and accurately record findings. 5. Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to design of electrical systems. 6.
