Marriott ExecuStay, located at 1301 Dove St., Newport Beach, CA seeks a Guest Service Aide to join their staff.
 
The focus of the position is to proactively provide superior customer service to ExecuStay guests. This position involves responding to incoming calls and emails. The position requires individuals to have superior communication, customer service skills and the ability to thrive within a team environment.
 
Responsibilities:
1. Follows established processes in order to provide responsive and accurate customer service.
2. Communicate with nationally approved vendors to install and remove utilities (e.g., water, gas, electricity, phone and cable) for ExecuStay residences.
3. Place outgoing calls to guests to proactively ensure a positive move-in and move-out experience.
4. Receive and distribute general calls, letters and emails from guests, markets, vendors and ExecuStay Corporate Offices.
5. Document and log all guest comments/concerns/general information generated during phone conversations.
6. Provide follow-up on prior guest concerns, problems, via telephone or mail to ensure issues are resolved to the guest’s satisfaction.
7. Investigate, research and resolve vendor related issues by contacting vendors, markets and Corporate via outgoing calls, e-mail and faxes in an accurate and timely manner.
8. Proactively maintain positive vendor relations and an updated vendor database.
9. Perform office duties related to the customer service department, including filing, routing/distributing mail, and searching through open issues.
10. Identify and communicate any customer service trends to supervisors.
11. Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the associate is capable of performing.
 
Required Skills:
1. Ability to provide accurate, courteous and efficient service to guests.
2. Must have exceptional writing skills in order to provide well-written, accurate, and courteous email response to customer.
3. Must have strong communication skills that allow for the clear and concise explanation and understanding of customer questions and issues.
4. Must be able to understand and utilize all available resources and processes to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of required tasks.
5. Must be able to perform multiple tasks and efficiently organize work based on business conditions.
6. Must be skilled and effective at working in a team environment.
7. Must exhibit a high degree of dependability and attention to detail.
8. Must be able to operate web based and Windows based programs (e.g., STAR, Outlook, Word).
 
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school degree or GED equivalent
2. One year prior customer service experience
3. Prior Marriott customer service experience preferred
4. Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute
