Date Listed: May-14-08 Eric Clapton's Painting Signed by Artist 43" wide x 54" high A Perfect and Unique Gift for Eric Clapton's Fans! I bought this piece of art at "It's A Grin" Coffee Shop in Anaheim, CA in 2003. I just moved in with my girlfriend who doesn't like the painting... My loss, Your gain :-) This CLAPTON original is on heavy-duty cotton canvas stapled to thickly made, custom-sized wooden stretchers. The wood is 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" cut to length. In addition, the canvas is backed by a 1" sheet of Styrofoam for greater strength and protection. The surface of the canvas is first covered with a specially formulated, non-cracking plaster. After this dries, the painting begins using water-based paint, and water-based varnish. This work was created with a silk screen combined with freehand brushwork and is unique, not part of a series. A signed Patrick Mccarthy, painted in 2003, this work is 43" wide by 54" high. About The Artist: Patrick McCarthy has created around 10,100 paintings.
