Orange County’s art patrons will have the opportunity to view Scott’s art and enjoy complimentary fine wine and hors d’ oeuvres at Bayside Restaurant on Sunday, May 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Bayside’s receptions attract all levels of art enthusiasts, providing patrons with a chance to socialize with others that share a common interest in art. Scott is famous for his depictions of the distinctive British Columbia coastline. Based in Black Creek in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, Canada, Scott depicts fishing boats and architecture such as tumble-down buildings produced on location. His love of art and the outdoors has led him to create pieces that can be exhibited outdoors. His passion for the landscape of his home—expressed through spectrums of color with an emphasis on design and composition—have propelled Scott’s works well beyond the shores of Canada. His paintings have been sold across Europe, in Hong Kong, Australia and all over America. Now, Orange County residents have a chance to see his latest collection. The exhibit is curated by Studio Gallery in Irvine, www.studiogallery.net. Since it opened in 1999, Bayside Restaurant has provided the latest innovation in contemporary American cuisine. Along with changing its menu to reflect the season, the restaurant also features a rotating for-sale art collection with work from some of the country’s leading artists. Bayside is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Sunday, as well as for a free-flowing champagne Sunday brunch.
