We currently have an opening for a temp-to-hire Closing Processor to handle escrow, title and HOA. This is not an Escrow Officer position. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Closing Processor is responsible for processing escrow, title and HOA in REOTrans to ensure real estate owned properties close. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Title: Order Title in REOTrans Request vesting and tax impound information from Client Review Title in REO Trans Check for correct address Check for correct vesting Check for liens HOA Code Enforcement Property Taxes Special Assessments IRS Check for Bankruptcy Check for Chain of Title Cure Title issues Order recorded liens from title Negotiate leans and past due amounts Clear issues Escrow: Open escrow Generate closing instructions Review estimated HUD Negotiate any fees outside bank parameters Complete deed and any related documents Confirm Closing Order distribution of escrow holdbacks HOA: Review HOA invoices for accuracy Reject tasks that are incomplete Negotiate with HOA and collection agencies Request checks from accounting department to pay off HOA Pay off HOA and record pay off in REOTrans QUALIFICATIONS Requirements 1-2 years of experience processing HOA, Title and Escrow Successfully pass background check Type at least 55wpm Experience using REOTrans Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Familiarity with state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to REO closings Knowledge of mortgage banking and real-estate sales Strong closing and negotiating skills Must be a self-starter and proactive Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages Commitment to excellence and high standards Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Creative, detail oriented, flexible, and innovative team player Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities, workflow, and multi-task Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees Strong interpersonal skills Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Rate of pay is $14-$16/hour.
