Description Concordia University, Irvine, Calif., seeks applicants for a full-time position in its School of Arts and Sciences. As a full-time member of the faculty the professor of music will be responsible for direction of choral ensembles and be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: music history, music theory, music technology, composition, music in general education, or vocal techniques. Responsibilities also include curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, recruitment, student advising, service to the university and department, research and other academic or administrative responsibilities as assigned.
We seek candidates who understand and value a Christian liberal arts approach to higher education and who are willing to invest themselves in the lives of students. Candidates must have a graduate degree (masters required; PhD preferred) and provide evidence of exemplary teaching. Rank will be awarded according commensurate to the candidate's teaching experience.
